Yes. At the completion of each test the Demag button appears. Select Demag then Current (same as test current) and Start. Demag is then automatic.

It is best to connect the Current and Potential leads to the center phase (limb) on the HV side of the transformer. Occasionally, it may be required to connect to the center limb on the LV side. Do not try and Demagnetize each phase, one at a time. An unbalanced condition will occur.

CAPO 2.5 (2.5 kV) is sufficient for most testing. And PF results can be corrected to 10kV for comparison. CAPO 12 (12 kV) available for large HV apparatus or if customers/users insist on 10kV.

The CAPO units allow you to enter Temperature Correction tables. But, since there are no accepted standard PF correction factors when testing Transformers, we suggest the Mineral Oil tables not be used. You can use correction factors from previous tests and, therefore, continue the “trending” diagnostics based on the same factors (right or wrong). See IEEE Standards.
